Chelsea Norris

Chelsea was born in Australia but has lived in the UK since she was 10 years old - hence the rather Northern accent.

She completed four A Levels at College in Stockport, and then went on to study Journalism at the University of Central Lancashire which earned her a BA Hons Degree.

Straight after University – she applied for 2 jobs in news reading, the first at Hallam FM in Sheffield and the other at what was, Century FM in Manchester. Luckily she received job offers for both openings on the same day. Being a ‘Mummy’s Girl’ she opted to stay closer to home and took the job at Century Radio.

She worked weekends managing and reading news for three stations single handed for 18 months before being asked to work with Tony Horne on the Breakfast Show. After a year the show host changed to Darren Proctor and Chelsea continued to work on it – presenting more and more.

After 4 years Chelsea was headhunted by Key 103 and asked to join Mike Toolan hosting the Breakfast Show across the other side of the City.

6 years later she’s still there. The chemistry between them is something that’s won the pair several awards. They’ve won the prestigious Sony Radio best Breakfast Show Award twice and their on air competition ‘Sell me the Answer’ bagged the Best Competition Award – winning Sony Gold. They’ve also won Gold at the New York Radio Awards and have been nominated for Best Presenters and Best Breakfast Show at the Sony's and the Commercial Radio Awards, the Arqiva’s. This year they were also awarded Best Breakfast Show at the Bauer Awards.

Chelsea has also carved a career for herself in the world of fashion. She is now the face of the Trafford Centre, presenting for the Big Screen each month, presenting all of their in house adverts, and hosting their exclusive Fashion Shows on a regular basis.

She’s also a dedicated patron for St Ann’s Hospice and has been for the last four years, and she’s proud to host events for them throughout the year. Events include hosting and judging their Young Citizen of The Year Awards, and a regular host of their Ladies Lunch which has raised over £70,000 under her presentation. Carrying on with the charity theme, she is also the patron of Beechwood Cancer Care in Stockport hosting their lunches and Butterfly Ball.

She has transferred her planning and hosting skills to Key 103, where she came up with the idea of a Feel Good Ladies Lunch. The Lunch has just gone into it’s 6th year raising over £100,000 for charity and the last was the most successful to date. She’s also hosted an audience with Gok Wan at Manchester 235 and hooked up with him again to host the Above Average Underwear Party in conjunction with Simply Yours.

Other corporate clients include Manchester based company JD Williams, Marks and Spencer, Hilton hotel, Key 103, Manchester Opera House, The Cooperative, Kensington Finance, Greater Manchester Police, Clinique, Manchester City, The Lowry Outlet Mall, The Triangle, Selfridges, Pet’s at Home, RRG Toyota, and many more.

Able to turn her hand to pretty much anything, (view testimonials) Chelsea is always available to host your event.
